Wakefern Food Corp. Refreshes Wholesome Pantry Packaging to Highlight Quality, Value and Easier Shopping

Updated packaging highlights clean ingredients, everyday value and easier shelf navigation for shoppers

Keasbey, NJ (July 21, 2026) – Wakefern Food Corp. today announced a refreshed look for its Wholesome Pantry Organic and Wholesome Pantry Free-From products, making it easier for customers to shop the brand and quickly spot the quality, ingredients, and value they expect. Available at ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage, Fairway Market and Morton Williams, the updated packaging features a modernized logo, color cues that distinguish organic and free-from items, and clear design elements that help key product attributes stand out on shelf.

All Wholesome Pantry products are free from 233 ingredients, including artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners. Wholesome Pantry Organic products meet the same Free-From standards as Wholesome Pantry and are made exclusively with certified organic ingredients.

“Wholesome Pantry has always stood for products customers can feel good about buying — great quality, simple ingredients and strong everyday value,” said Chris Ruane, director of Own Brands at Wakefern. “This refreshed look makes it even easier for customers to find the products they want and recognize what the brand stands for.”

The refreshed packaging is now rolling out across select items, including frozen shrimp, onions, fresh packaged herbs and salsa, with additional products arriving on store shelves throughout the summer across produce, meat, dairy, frozen and grocery categories.

The full Wholesome Pantry portfolio is expected to transition to new packaging by the end of 2026, reflecting Wakefern’s continued focus on keeping its private brands fresh, relevant, and responsive to what today’s customers want most — quality, trusted ingredients, everyday value, and packaging that feels current and easy to shop.
