ShopRite of Daleville Unveils New EVgo Fast Chargers

Ribbon Cutting for the new EVgo Charging Stations at the ShopRite of Daleville, PA

Store leadership and EVgo celebrate expanded fast charging access for the local community

DALEVILLE, PA (July 14, 2026) – ShopRite of Daleville marked the opening of new local electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 14 at the store located at 921 Drinker Turnpike, Ste. 24.

Deployed by EVgo, the four 350kW fast chargers are capable of simultaneously charging eight EVs. Depending on the vehicle, drivers can get a full charge in as little as 15 minutes, providing a convenient way for customers to power up their vehicles during their shopping trip.

The Bracey family, owners and operators of Bracey Supermarkets, Inc. and the ShopRite of Daleville, joined store associates and community leaders along with representatives of EVgo and the Scranton Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the milestone and highlight the importance of expanding access to more sustainable transportation options.

“We’re excited to bring EVgo fast charging to the ShopRite of Daleville and offer our customers added convenience,” said Laura Bracey, Director of Operations for Bracey Supermarkets, Inc. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance the shopping experience, and fast, reliable EV charging is another way we’re meeting the needs of our community.”

The installation is part of a broader effort by Wakefern Food Corp., the New Jersey-based, retailer-owned supermarket cooperative, to expand EV charging access across ShopRite locations and support sustainable infrastructure in the communities it serves. Bracey Supermarkets, Inc., a family-owned business and Wakefern member, has served the area since 1974 and today owns and operates three ShopRite stores: ShopRite of Birney Plaza, ShopRite of Mt. Pocono and ShopRite of Daleville.

“At EVgo, we build charging where life happens,” said Marcy Bauer, Senior Vice President, Network Operations at EVgo. “Our work with the ShopRite of Daleville brings fast, dependable charging to a convenient grocery destination, allowing drivers to quickly power up while they shop.”

As Wakefern members continue to expand access to advanced EV charging stations, ShopRite remains focused on investing in solutions that support sustainability, enhance convenience and meet the needs of customers.
