Wakefern Food Corp. Extends Premium Pay

Keasbey, NJ (May 5, 2020) – Wakefern Food Corp., the retailer-owned cooperative, announced it is extending its temporary wage premium for its members’ retail store associates through May 30. The program helps thousands of dedicated associates working across ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, Price Rite Marketplace, Dearborn Market and Gourmet Garage stores during the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The temporary wage premium, that first went into effect on Sunday, March 22, increases pay by $2.00 per hour.

Wakefern and its members continue to recruit to fill a variety of positions across its warehouses and stores. The goal is to keep stores fully staffed during this challenging time and continue to provide the best possible customer service to shoppers and the communities where stores operate.
