Price Rite Teams Up with Coventry Patriots HS Football to Help Connecticut Foodshare

Price Rite Marketplace and the Coventry Patriots High School Football program – a varsity football team made up of students from Coventry, Windham RVT, Bolton and Lyman Memorial high schools – donated food and essentials to the Connecticut Foodshare organization, which helps feed local families in need. This donation is a part of the “Touchdowns for Hunger” campaign, where a sack of food is donated for each touchdown the Patriots team scored throughout the football season. This season, 12 sacks of canned items, shelf stable products and fresh produce will be donated as a result of the team’s 12 touchdowns scored. Price Rite Marketplace will also donate several additional pallets of shelf stable items to the Connecticut Foodshare organization to help support the community.

The donation event took place on Thursday, December 29 at the Price Rite Marketplace of Wethersfield– 160 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
