Stroudsburg, PA (Nov. 1, 2019)
– ShopRite today opened its newest state-of-the-art, full-service supermarket at the ShopRite of Stroudsburg in the Stroud Mall, 344 Stroud Mall Ave. The new supermarket is reinventing the grocery shopping experience with a centerpiece food hall, the Village Food Garden, and its own restaurant, Bin37, along with a wine and beer shop.
In addition to a food hall featuring a variety of freshly prepared meals and a restaurant with craft beers and cocktails, the supermarket will also be home to experts who understand that good food takes talent. Customers who visit the store can talk to chefs, fishmongers, cheese experts, butchers, cake decorators and a dietitian. The new store will also employ approximately 350
full- and part-time associates.
Owned and operated by Village Super Market, Inc., which operates 30 ShopRite stores in New Jersey, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania, the store offers a large and varied selection of groceries including both store and national brands; fresh produce delivered daily; a full-service meat department; prepared foods department; locally sourced foods, and a health and wellness department led by a registered dietitian.
“We are incredibly excited to open this unique supermarket in the Stroud Mall and look forward to becoming a community destination for food, fun, family and friends,” said Perry Blatt, third generation supermarket operator and Director of Marketing and Business Development for Village Super Market, Inc. “We have all the local favorites, low prices, foods and services for our customers along with new and exciting features that make this supermarket a true destination location. "We are thrilled to welcome ShopRite to Stroud Mall," said Stephen Lebovitz, chief executive officer, CBL Properties, owner of Stroud Mall. "CBL's vision is to transform our properties from traditional malls to suburban town centers, and the addition of ShopRite certainly illustrates that vision.
