Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware Celebrate 30th Anniversary with Community Mural Ribbon-Cutting

Weeklong celebration features mural unveiling, special promotions and community appreciation events across Delaware ShopRite stores

WILMINGTON, DE (October 14, 2025) – Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware is celebrating 30 years of serving the community with the unveiling of a bold new community mural at the Wilmington Christina Crossing ShopRite, located at 501 S. Walnut Street in Wilmington, DE. A video documenting the creation of the mural can be viewed here.

The ribbon-cutting took place on Monday, October 13 at the Christina Crossing ShopRite. Members of the Kenny family and store team were joined by local Delaware artist Christian Kanienberg of Wish Unlimited, who created the mural in collaboration with the City of Wilmington. Prominently visible to visitors driving into the city, the vibrant artwork celebrates the spirit, diversity and resilience of the Wilmington community. The event also launched Kenny Family ShopRites’ 30th anniversary festivities, featuring special giveaways and promotions at Delaware ShopRite stores throughout the week for customers, associates and the broader community.

“Serving the community is what inspires and drives us, and we are so proud to run our ShopRite stores and our business in Delaware. We want to celebrate 30 years by saying thank you to our store teams and our customers, and we think this beautiful mural is one way to do that,” said Melissa Kenny, Executive Vice President of Kenny Family ShopRites.

Kanienberg also partnered with the Kennys for the company’s 25th anniversary, creating a mural honoring Delaware farmers at the ShopRite at 1st State Plaza.
