Wakefern Named in Top Five of 2012 Best Places to Work in New Jersey

Keasbey, NJ — April 27, 2012 — Wakefern Food Corp. announced today that it has been ranked fifth out of 100 of NJBIZ Magazine’s 2012 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. This is the second year in a row that Wakefern has been honored with this prestigious award, which recognizes top places of employment in New Jersey that benefit the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.

Businesses from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in New Jersey. Winners were determined by an evaluation of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. An additional component of the evaluation included an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

Created in 2005, the award is sponsored by NJBIZ and honored this year’s 100 Best Places to Work at an awards dinner and ceremony on April 25, 2012 at the Hilton East Brunswick.

“We consistently strive to create an environment that our associates can be proud of and that allows them to excel,” said Joseph Sheridan, president and COO of Wakefern Food Corp. “We are delighted that Wakefern has been recognized by NJBIZ as a ‘best place to work’ and we are so honored to be included in this esteemed group of New Jersey businesses.”
